THE TODD BUILDING
Ingram Street, Glasgow

Glasgow's first Lofts. The Todd Building; 28 'shell space' loft apartments, a shop and Scotland's first Japanese Sushi Bar conveyor-belt restaurant, in the conversion of a red sandstone Victorian clothing factory and an adjoining new building. Completed in 2000 The Todd Building was the catalyst for the regeneration of the Merchant City.

"Walking into the tardis-like entrance, with touch TVs linked to cameras on the roof giving a bird's eye view of the City, all added up to a very high-tech experience."

"I was hit by the jaw-dropping proportions. Forget pokey rooms and cramped spaces, just think football pitch sized dimensions, topped with views that put loft living on top of the urban wish list."
